Ministry sees 2021 retail gasoline price rise in line with CPI

MOSCOW, Jan 14 (PRIME) – Russian retail fuel prices will rise evenly throughout 2021 in line with expected inflation, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

"The forecasted retail fuel price growth will be flat throughout the year of 2021 and should not exceed the forecasted inflation," the ministry said.

According to the statement, the wholesale price dynamics are connected with seasonal fuel demand.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service said in a statement that it sees no preconditions for retail gasoline price growth to exceed inflation and that the situation will stabilize soon.
